They like their soil to be a little moist, but not soggy, so water only when the top two inches of soil feel dry.
They like a spot that’s quite bright but away from direct sun (it can burn them). They don’t do well in shade.
Those lovely leaves absorb a lot of moisture, so give them a mist every couple of days to keep them happy.

Ficus elastica burgundy is a member of our rubber plant family. It would probably be considered one of the more dramatic members, thanks to those stunning, deep green leaves with a hint of copper, and vivid red veins. This plant will make a stylish statement wherever you put it.
In the wild, the rubber plant is most typically found in southern parts of Asia where it can grow as tall as 60 metres. It gets its name from the white latex coursing through its veins, which was once used to make rubber.
The rubber plant is incredibly popular as a houseplant, loved for its thick, shiny leaves. It likes a bright spot, light watering and humidity. It’s pretty easy to look after. It’s only its looks that are dramatic.
